Job Description
A Laundry Assistant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, ironing, and organizing clothes, linens, and other fabrics. Their duties include sorting laundry by color and fabric type, operating washing and drying machines, using the correct cleaning products, and checking items for stains or damage. They ensure that all laundry is cleaned to a high standard and returned to the correct person or department on time. Laundry Assistants also keep the laundry area clean, follow safety and hygiene procedures, and report any equipment problems to the supervisor.
