Job Description
A pest control technician is responsible for protecting homes, businesses, and public spaces from unwanted and potentially harmful pests like insects, rodents, and wildlife. Their daily duties begin with inspecting properties to locate points of entry, identify the specific pest species, and assess the extent of the infestation. Once identified, they design a targeted treatment plan, safely applying chemical pesticides, setting traps, or using non-toxic exclusion methods to eliminate the pests. Beyond active extermination, a critical part of their job is prevention and customer education; they advise clients on sanitation practices, seal structural gaps to block future entry, and schedule regular maintenance visits to ensure properties remain pest-free.
