Operating in warehouses, manufacturing plants, or distribution centers, their main duties involve sorting, wrapping, boxing, and sealing items according to specific packaging guidelines and quality standards. They must inspect items for defects before packing, verify that the correct quantities match invoice order sheets, and apply accurate labels, barcodes, or shipping details to the completed packages. To keep operations moving efficiently, Packaging Clerks also set up and maintain their packaging machinery, restock packing supplies like boxes, tape, and bubble wrap, and keep their workstation clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
