Job Description
A Dairy Farm Assistant helps with the daily care of dairy cows and supports the smooth operation of the farm. Their duties include feeding cows, providing clean water, and monitoring the health and well-being of the animals. They assist with milking cows using manual or automated equipment and ensure all milking tools are cleaned and sanitized after use. Dairy Farm Assistants also clean barns, remove waste, spread fresh bedding, and maintain a clean environment for the animals. They may help care for calves, assist with breeding activities, and report any signs of illness or injury to the farm manager. In addition, they operate basic farm equipment, help with fencing and pasture maintenance, and follow all farm safety and animal welfare guidelines.
