Senior Associate - Statutory and Tax Reporting Support
Reports to: KSA Finance Lead
Grade: Senior Associate
Purpose of Role: The role primarily focuses on statutory and tax requirements and reporting support.
Responsibilities:
- Support seniors in managing and overseeing local and outsourced accounting processes, including month and year-end processes, AP/AR, general ledger, and balance reconciliations.
- Assist in establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, including regular review, analysis, and reconciliation of the general ledger.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a compliance calendar for timely submission of external financial reporting deliverables.
- Analyze statutory reports and commentaries.
- Collaborate with regional and offshore shared services teams to achieve reporting deadlines with accuracy and integrity.
- Support seniors in liaising with internal and external auditors for financial audits/ICV audits.
- Actively participate in month-end close to identify and post statutory ledger adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and related audit schedules.
- Prepare information requested by reporting authorities and statements as per country requirements.
- Submission of VAT returns and regular review of VAT GL accounts and transactions.
- Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company tax returns and ensure timely filing of tax forms.
- Manage income tax audits, prepare responses, and monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments.
- Provide support for internal audits and special tax-related projects.
- Offer advice from an accounting, statutory, and tax reporting perspective as required by engagement teams or other functions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Knowledge of KSA tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
