Job Description
A Public Area Attendant is the hotel or facility worker responsible for keeping all shared guest spaces clean, neat, and presentable throughout the day. While room attendants clean guest bedrooms, the Public Area Attendant focuses on lobbies, hallways, elevators, washrooms, meeting rooms, waiting lounges, entrances, staircases, and other common spaces. These are the areas every guest sees first, so their cleanliness directly affects the image of the hotel or building. The daily duties of a Public Area Attendant include sweeping floors, mopping tiles, dusting furniture, polishing glass, cleaning public washrooms, emptying trash bins, wiping doors, sanitizing elevator buttons, arranging lobby furniture, and checking that all common areas stay fresh and tidy.
