Job Description
A Lifeguard is responsible for keeping swimmers and visitors safe at pools, beaches, water parks, and other aquatic areas. They watch the water at all times to prevent accidents and respond quickly to emergencies. Lifeguards perform water rescues, provide first aid or CPR when needed, and contact emergency services if the situation requires it. They also enforce safety rules, check that rescue equipment is ready for use, and inspect the swimming area for possible hazards. In addition, lifeguards educate visitors about safe swimming practices, help maintain a clean and safe environment, and complete incident reports when accidents or injuries occur. Strong swimming skills, quick decision-making, and good communication are essential for this role.
