The steel fixers then assemble these bars to form cages which will be used to reinforce concrete structures.

One of the primary responsibilities of a Steel Fixer is to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints provided by engineers. These diagrams illustrate where each piece of rebar should be placed within a structure, and it's up to the steel fixer to accurately follow these instructions. They must also use hand tools such as pliers, wire cutters, and bending machines to manipulate the steel into shape before placing them into position.
