Carpenter

Gulf Enterprises is looking for an experienced and skilled fit-out carpenter to join its growing interior design and fit-out team in Muscat, Oman. The role focuses on high-end joinery, wooden installations and interior finishing work. The carpenter will fit custom cabinetry, wardrobes, kitchen units, doors, frames, wooden panelling and vanity units following technical drawings. The work also includes putting up gypsum partitions, wooden frameworks and decorative wooden or suspended ceilings. The carpenter will measure, cut and shape wood, plastic and other materials with precision, and apply laminates, veneers and edge bands for a seamless finish. Reading and interpreting interior design blueprints, shop drawings and sketches is part of the job, as is keeping the workspace clean, safe and organised to company safety standards. Candidates should have proven experience as a carpenter with an interior fit-out or joinery company, be confident using hand and power tools such as routers, saws, drills and sanders, and have a strong eye for detail and high-end finishing. Strong problem-solving skills, reliability and the ability to work well under tight deadlines are also needed. Candidates already based in Oman with a transferable visa are preferred.
