All guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns should be answered, recorded, logged, and processed. Assist with the operation of a telephone switchboard. Wake-up calls, screening calls, do not disturb, call forwarding, conference calls, TDD relay calls, and non-registered guest calls are all processed. Notify the guest of any communications that have been received. Monitor busy or unresponsive lines, provide status updates to callers on hold, and offer to take a message. Receive, record, and relay messages in a legible, accurate, and full manner. Activate or deactivate the guest room message lights as needed. Instruct guests on how to use the internet, and direct any issues to the provider's customer service line. To ensure that communications equipment is working properly, test it. Respond to exceptional requests from guests who have specific requirements.To handle a visitor call, request, or concern, contact the appropriate people or department. Follow up with visitors to confirm that their requests or issues were addressed satisfactorily. As needed, dispatch bell or valet crew.
