As a cashier in Canada, you are responsible for more than just ringing up purchases. Your job duties include providing excellent customer service, handling cash and credit card transactions, and ensuring that the store's inventory is properly managed. You must also have good communication skills and be able to work well under pressure.

One of your primary responsibilities as a cashier is to handle financial transactions accurately and efficiently. This includes counting money, making change, processing debit and credit card payments, issuing receipts or invoices, and balancing the till at the end of each shift. You will also need to be familiar with any store policies regarding price adjustments, returns or exchanges.
