A Kitchen Steward is an essential part of any kitchen team. This individual is responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and sanitary, as well as maintaining all necessary supplies. A successful Kitchen Steward must be organized and systematic in order to ensure that all areas of the kitchen are properly cleaned and stocked at all times. 

The primary responsibility of a Kitchen Steward is to keep the work area clean during service periods. This includes washing dishes, disposing of garbage, cleaning counters and floors, restocking supplies, and ensuring that health standards are met at all times. The Kitchen Steward may also be responsible for preparing some food items such as salads or desserts based on the needs of the kitchen staff. Additional duties may include organizing storage areas or obtaining necessary ingredients for upcoming meal services.
