Welder

A skilled welder is needed in Kuwait City for marine, structural and piping work. The role covers welding on structural steel, piping, plate work and marine-grade materials, using stick, MIG/MAG, flux-cored and TIG methods. The welder will read welding symbols, drawings and specifications, then prepare materials by cutting, grinding, bevelling and cleaning them before welding. Finished welds will be checked for quality and for meeting the required standards. The work also includes repairing and modifying marine structures, vessels and equipment, keeping welding equipment and tools in good working order, and keeping clear welding records and logs. Safety is central to the role. The welder will follow safety procedures, use PPE, observe fire prevention measures and hot work permit requirements, and take part in toolbox talks and daily safety briefings. The welder will work closely with fitters, foremen and supervisors to complete each job.

• Experience as a skilled welder in marine, structural or piping work
• Working knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GTAW welding processes
• Ability to read welding symbols, drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with preparing materials and inspecting welds for quality
• Commitment to safety procedures, PPE use and hot work permit requirements
• Ability to coordinate with fitters, foremen and supervisors
