Senior Application Support Engineer

A Dubai-based employer is seeking a senior application support engineer to take single-point technical accountability for an enterprise HCL Total Experience platform and a digital auction platform. The platforms run on Azure AKS and Kubernetes across development, UAT, staging, production and disaster recovery environments. The successful candidate will own incidents end to end, from diagnosis and coordination through validation and resolution. Day-to-day work includes administering, patching, upgrading and troubleshooting HCL DX, Volt MX, Volt Foundry and Leap, providing second- and third-line support for web and mobile applications, and investigating AKS workloads, database connectivity and performance issues. The role also covers APIs, microservices, middleware and third-party integrations, planned changes and upgrades with impact assessment and rollback planning, disaster recovery testing, and monthly reporting on service levels, incidents, root causes and performance. The engineer will also maintain standard operating procedures for the supported platforms.

• Eight or more years in second
• and third-line support of enterprise web and mobile platforms
• Hands-on experience with HCL Total Experience
• Working knowledge of Azure AKS and Kubernetes
• Strong SQL and data-access troubleshooting skills
• Experience with ITIL-aligned incident, problem and change management
• Professional English, with Arabic an advantage.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
